It was built on the Castle hill in the spirit of the old and new Italian renaissance system of bastions. The castle towers are named after castle captains: Fóris, Hajdú, Telegdi and Bánffy. It is also called ”Mangled castle”, in present here is functioning the Eötvös József Agricultural school.
