Inaugurate in 2000, Márton Áron square

The monument of the heroes from the two world wars is placed in the Márton Àron square. The initial monument was made in 1917 in the memory of the heroes of 82-nd infantry regiment. In 1919 the memorial was tumbled down but in 1941 a new monument was constructed named ”Országzászló” (Country Flag). The bronze statue seen today in the Márton Àron square was made by Szabó János and it was uncovered in 2000.
